St. Louis Master Hand Engraving
As one of the last master hand engravers left in the country, Richard Neustaedter draws, then creates one-of-a-kind pieces like this pendant. As this skill becomes more and more rare, his pieces become more and more valuable.
This creation is especially unique. Look carefully. Every letter of the alphabet is worked into the design! Stop by our showroom at Dougherty Ferry and Big Bend, and see if you can find A-Z in this unique piece. While you’re there, watch the master at work.
One of the biggest 2018 jewelry trends is unique, handmade jewelry. You don’t get any more unique or handmade than with your very own monogram, drawn & created by Richard.
Personalized jewelry is a huge trend right now, so you’ve probably been seeing the words “hand engraved” a lot— when it’s actually been made by machine. There is a difference. In real hand engraving, great care is taken with the design. The lettering is fluid, so it doesn’t get caught on anything & it’s also thicker, so it won’t bend. Here’s our own master hand engraver, Richard Neustaedter, with more how it’s done & why a machine can’t replicate it. Experience the Neustaedter difference, now at Dougherty Ferry & Big Bend, serving St. Louis’ jewelry needs now for more than 50 years.Posted by Neustaedter's Jewelers on Tuesday, December 11, 2018
It’s really quite a spectacular piece. What’s even more spectacular is that it was ALL DONE BY HAND by master hand engraver, Richard Neustaedter. REAL hand engraving is truly a lost art. A definite one-of-a-kind piece that will stand the test of time.Posted by Neustaedter's Jewelers on Thursday, January 31, 2019

We ❤️ this & hope you do, too! To be in the jewelry business for as long as we have, we get to see not just couples, but generations that walk into our store for engagement rings. As Richard tells us, it’s about a little more than just tradition sometimes! 😉 We think we might need to create a whole series on just talking to Richard while he works. By the master hand engraver’s block...Posted by Neustaedter's Jewelers on Monday, January 28, 2019

Tim Ezell & Our Monograms
We were happy to hear the news that our good friend, Tim Ezell, is headed back to Fox2Now in the Morning to be a feature reporter on October 22nd. There are no plans as of right now for it to affect The Thread STL, which we've been a proud supporter of for over a year now. Pastor Tim Ezell is geniunely a one-of-a-kind guy, just like our monograms— only louder. 😂Posted by Neustaedter's Jewelers on Thursday, October 4, 2018
