Pearl is a white colored stone which is easily available around the globe. Pearls come in different colors depending upon their quality and clarity. The most popular of pearls is the Akoya Pearl which originated in Japan. As of late, pearls are being farmed in China. Pearls that are rounder in shape are more valuable. Unlike other birthstones which are formed through non-living things, a pearl is formed by a living organism mostly found deep under the seas and oceans. Pearl is associated with chastity, power, courage and anger control. Pearl is a symbol of pure heart and mind, innocence and faith.
