Neustaedter’s Fine Jewelers will be participating in the annual 2019 TOYS FOR TOTS Campaign. The intent of the campaign is to “bring holiday joy and deliver a message of hope to children.” We are ready to receive toys today!

Please help us to help those less fortunate this holiday season. Last year, thanks to the generosity of those who live and work in the St. Louis area, our community was able to collect thousands of toys for children in need.

Who is Served

Children who are served by this campaign include toddlers and youths through age 17. The campaign will only accept new unwrapped toys. You can drop them off at our store located at the junction of Big Bend Blvd. and Dougherty Ferry Rd.

Toys used as weapons or considered to be weapons (i.e., toy guns or knives of any kind) will not be accepted. Checks or money orders for donations must be made payable to TOYS FOR TOTS.

How Toys For Tots Began

Toys for Tots began in 1947 as the brainchild of Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks. His wife, Diane,  was the real inspiration. She had created a few handcrafted dolls and asked Bill to deliver them to an agency that supports children in need.

When he could not find such an organization, one was created with the help of his U. S. Marines Reserve unit. Later, his personal friend Walt Disney, designed the first Toys for Tots poster.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit charity. It was established in 1991 at the behest of the Marine Corps to help run and support the Marine Toys for Tots Program.

The Foundation raises funds, purchases toys, provides promotional and support materials, manages all funds raised and donated, solicites corporate support, educates the public, and handles day-to-day operations.

Presently, the Marine Toys for Tots Program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million less fortunate children annually.
